Connect your tools
Palmata runs an MCP server, so the assistants you already use can read your reports and answer questions about them directly. The exact steps depend on the client, but every client connects to the same server URL:
https://mcp.palmata.ai
Access is tied to your account: the assistant sees exactly the reports you can see. Creation and other write tools require their organization flags and current role permissions. See Creator tools for report creation, previews, simulations, recommendations, and estimated progress.
Claude Cowork

- Enter the server URL:
https://mcp.palmata.ai. - Leave authentication on OAuth and click Add.
- Click Connect, then Authorize on Palmata’s sign-in screen.
Codex
- Open Settings, then MCP servers.
- Select Add server.
- Choose Streamable HTTP and enter the server URL:
https://mcp.palmata.ai. - Save, then select Authenticate to complete sign-in.
Claude Code
claude mcp add --transport http palmata https://mcp.palmata.ai
Claude Code will prompt you to authenticate the first time it needs to. To do it up front instead, run:
claude mcp login palmata
Codex CLI
codex mcp add palmata --url https://mcp.palmata.ai/
Then sign in:
codex mcp login palmata
Other clients
For Cursor, add this entry to your mcp.json, then connect and complete sign-in:
{
"mcpServers": {
"palmata": {
"type": "http",
"url": "https://mcp.palmata.ai"
}
}
}
Most MCP clients connect the same way: give them the server URL and let the client handle sign-in, either through a settings UI or a config file with an mcpServers block. If your client uses the latter, this works for most of them:
{
"mcpServers": {
"palmata": {
"url": "https://mcp.palmata.ai"
}
}
}
The client opens Palmata’s Authorize screen in your browser. It confirms the account you’re signed in as and shows the requested scopes, which can include read, write, or both. Write tools require your organization’s enabled features and your current permissions. Click Authorize to finish, or Deny to cancel.
Disconnecting
Remove the Palmata server from your AI client to end its access. Because the grant is tied to your account, removing it there stops the assistant from reading any further.
